Support Local Submission Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER SUBMISSIONS.

The “Support Local Story Submission” (the “Submission”) is sponsored by United Soccer League, LLC (“Sponsor”) and governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By submitting stories, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the Submission, as determined by Sponsor and its agents, are final in all respects. The Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.

Eligibility

The Submission is open to legal residents of their continental United States where not prohibited by law, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry, and who have a valid e-mail account prior to the beginning of the Submission Period. Sponsor has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.

Submissions

You can enter a Submission by submitting your response to the questions to the form found on https://www.uslleaguetwo.com/support-local. The answers must include the details of your story, your full name and email address for follow up.

Entries must contain suitable content for display to a general audience with respect to language, visual content, presentation, themes discussed, and related issues.

Entrants will retain copyright in their work, but each Entrant grants to Sponsor a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, assignable, royalty-free license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works, transmit or disseminate the videos and any derivative work in all media or platforms whether now known or hereafter invented. Entrant also waives any and all moral rights in the content and derivative work with respect to any use by USL, its affiliates, sublicensees, or assigns. Sponsor and its designees shall have the perpetual, worldwide right to publish and use the entries in any way, and in any media for trade, advertising, education, promotional, and/or other purposes as Sponsor and/or its designees may determine without further consideration to entrant or any third party.

Content must be previously unpublished, original content and must be the sole property of the entrants, not previously submitted to any other contest. Published material includes that which has been posted on the Internet. 

Content may NOT contain:

• Material which is (or promotes activities which are) sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent, self-mutilating (e.g., relating to murder, the sales of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing;
• Include mention or performance of any copyrighted media production including but not limited to music, films, books, television programming, etc., or identifying descriptions of any media property.
• Material that violates or infringes another's rights, including but not limited to material that violates privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, must not include third-party trademarks, photographs, artwork, or sculptures. 
• Third parties, including but not limited to minors, celebrities, and friends who have not expressly authorized entrants to display their image, likeness, or voice in any submitted video or otherwise use such image, likeness, or voice per these Official Rules.

Additional Rules: By submitting an entry, the entrant represents that the content is an original work, and the entrant is the sole owner of all rights to the content. The entrant also agrees to allow the USL to use their provided name to post on the USL website(s) and social media accounts, without compensation unless prohibited.

Each entrant retains the rights to their content but grants to USL a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create derivative works of the content, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed, for any USL purpose, including, but not limited to, education, advertising, and promotion. USL will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses. The United Soccer League, its agents, and contractor are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or postage-due entries. The entrant is responsible for obtaining legal permission to film on the location they have chosen. Contest void where prohibited or restricted by law. USL reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of USL are final and binding.

Featured Story Selection

Featured stories will be chosen by the following process. At the outset, ineligible applicants will be disqualified. From the list of eligible applicants, selections for fans and content to be featured will be chosen following a review of the submissions and related content.

Additional information will be collected after submissions are chosen via the email you provide in the form. That information includes but is not limited to: photos, additional content, quotes and interviews conducted by USL staff.

Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, by registering for the Promotion, each participant grants permission to the Promotion Parties for the use of his/her name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, address (city and state), and Prize information (if any) worldwide and in all forms of media worldwide, in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice, for any and all purposes, including promotional and advertising purposes and for inclusion on a Promotion winners list.

INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR AND ITS PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE CONTEST, INCLUDING FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE CONTEST.
