The club was founded in 1967 to provide soccer to the local community. In 2007 competitive level teams were established. The club has a rich history and tradition that dates to the Carolina Dynamo, one of the most successful teams in USL League Two’s history. The club was founded in 1993 and joined USL League Two in 2003. In 2018, the Carolina Dynamo merged with NC Fusion, a new merger between Greensboro Soccer Club and the Twin City Soccer Association, to form a comprehensive soccer organization that serves players of all ages and levels. NC Fusion continued the club’s high-level legacy with four conference titles, four division titles and one national final appearance.
