There are many occasions where top players fall in their respective drafts for a variety of reasons only to then prove themselves after being selected in later rounds.
In MLS SuperDraft history there have been a number of talented USL League Two (formerly Premier Development League) players that have dropped past the first round, including U.S. Men's National Team players Graham Zusi and Geoff Cameron.
Both players have gone on to have successful careers both in MLS and Europe, on top of their USMNT duties, after being selected in the second and third rounds, respectively.
Meanwhile, current New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles was picked 50th overall in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft by D.C. United.
