TAMPA, Fla. - Former USL League Two forward Josh Sargent scored in his German Bundesliga debut on Friday, as Werder Bremen earned a 3-1 win against Dusseldorf.
Sargent, 18, entered the match in the 76th minute after replacing Milot Rashica. The U.S. Men's National Team striker scored two minutes later with his first touch of the match.
The former St. Louis FC U23 player previously featured for Bremen's reserve side in 2018, scoring seven goals in 12 games.
Sargent, who made his USMNT debut this year, has made six appearances for the senior national team in 2018, while scoring twice in matches against Bolivia and Peru.
