TAMPA, Fla. - Former Premier Development League and current New York City FC defender Ben Sweat made his U.S. Men's National Team debut on Thursday night, after entering their match against Colombia in the 76th minute.

The University of South Florida graduate came into the game to replace Antonee Robinson at left back for the final 14 minutes, plus stoppage time.

Sweat, who began his professional career with VSI Tampa Flames and Reading United, in 2012 and 2013, respectively, played in 21 PDL matches before playing in Major League Soccer.

Additionally, the 27-year-old spent part of 2014 on loan from Columbus Crew SC at Dayton Dutch Lions -- who previously competed in USL Pro at the time. The Dutch Lions are now members of PDL.
