Virginia, Denver meet in giant clash

Numerous PDL Top College Prospects kick off against one another this week, as the college regular season comes down to the wire.

TWO GAMES TO WATCH

VIRGINIA (6-1-2, ACC) VS. DENVER (10-0-2, Summit)

Monday, Oct. 8 - 7 p.m. ET - Watch Live

Andre Shinyashiki is the name that jumps off the page when analyzing Denver, a team that continues to coast through its matches in 2018 courtesy of the former Colorado Rapids U23 star.

Shinyashiki leads all goalscorers in Division I this season, having tallied 21 goals and two assists for the Pioneers.

Meanwhile, Prosper Figbe and the Cavaliers boast one of the nation's best defensive units. Through nine matches, Virginia has allowed four goals.

MICHIGAN STATE (9-1-2, Big 10) VS. AKRON (4-4-2, Mid American)

Tuesday, Oct. 9 - 7 p.m. ET - Watch

Michigan State bounced back from its only loss of the season with a convincing win against Maryland on Friday night, and now the Spartans have an opportunity to continue down the right path.

PDLers Jimmy HagueRyan Sierakowski and DeJuan Jones each feature for the Spartans, with Sierakowski and Jones currently joint leaders in the goal scoring department (5).

Meanwhile, Akron boasts midfielder Marco Micalettowho has started every match in 2018 for the Zips following his successful stint in PDL over the summer with South Georgia Tormenta FC.
