Dayton's Dietrich, Bolts Enstrom enter list of 50 players

TAMPA, Fla. — With the first few weeks of the 2018 fall collegiate season completed, the Premier Development League has unveiled the second edition of its Top College Prospects list.

Five players enter and another five exit the top 50 in this edition, as some top performers in the opening matches of the NCAA DI, DII and NAIA seasons rise above the cut, while some players drop off after slow starts.

Leading the risers is Dayton Dutch Lions midfielder Jackson Dietrich, who joins teammate Tate Robertson in the top 50. The junior midfielder has enjoyed a hot start with Wright State - who have opened their campaign at 3-0-1 - recording three assists while starting three of the Raider's four matches. A strong summer with the Dutch Lions surely played a part in Dietrich's start, as he recorded six goals and six assists in Dayton's Great Lakes Division-winning season.

Joining Dietrich is fellow midfielder Bruno Lapa, as the SIMA Aguilas product moves onto the list alongside fellow Wake Forest teammates Sam Raben and Brad Dunwell - recording an amazing three goals and three assists in the Demon Deacon's first three matches, all wins. The third field player joining the list is Boston College and Boston Bolts forward Karl Simon Enstrom - who has recorded three goals to lead the Eagles' campaign so far.

Two goalkeepers also enter the top 50, with Charlotte Eagles product James Pyle featuring heavily for UNC in the early season and Tobacco Road FC - formerly Carolina Dynamo - goalkeeper Ryan Cretens performing well for UNC Wilmington.

The Top College Prospects list features the 50 top college-based individuals who have competed in the PDL. The list will evolve over the course of the fall, with biweekly updates on Tuesdays allowing players to raise their stock and earn recognition based on their collegiate play.
