Collister steps into new role as Mike Panter departs for Tormenta FC

TAMPA, Fla. Following the conclusion of the 2018 Premier Development League season, Jason Collister has been unveiled as the new Co-Director of the league - alongside Chris Madden, who continues in his role - following Mike Panter’s move to South Georgia Tormenta FC as Vice President of Soccer Operations.

Collister, who moves into his new role after previously serving as a PDL Operations Intern and subsequently as the Coordinator of Youth League Operations with the USL’s Super Y League, assumes the title of Director, PDL Operations and Technical Growth. In his new role, Collister will handle league registration and the USL Scouting Network, among other responsibilities.

“As a former player in the PDL with IMG Academy - coupled with his experience in the Super Y League, where he led the league’s registration - we are excited to have Jason joining the PDL,” said Joel Nash, Vice President of the SYL and PDL. “Along with his tireless work ethic, Jason will bring a professional approach and attention to detail to the league’s registration process and will bring his strong soccer and PDL intelligence to the USL Scouting Network. His leadership is a valuable addition to the PDL team in the immediate term and as the league continues to grow in the future.”

Co-Director Chris Madden will remain partnered with Jason in his current role as Director, Competition and Development. In his first season in charge of the PDL, Madden became an integral, respected leader. Madden helped lead the PDL to one of its most successful seasons to date in 2018, helping all 74 member clubs find success on the field and in their communities.

“Chris has become an integral leader for the PDL, occupying a unique role that was previously absent from the league’s leadership structure,” said Nash. “Chris will continue to be an asset in promoting and building the league’s presence - while using his organizational development talents to position each of our teams for success in the league and as teams in their communities.”
