NCAA lower divisions and NAIA kick off their fall seasons

The first full week of collegiate action begins this week, with matches featuring Top College Prospects every day from Monday to Thursday.

Included in this week's action are the first looks at some athletes competing in NCAA Division II, while many Division I players continue to build off their weekend openers.

Here are a few must-see matchups this week, with a full list of the Top Prospects in action below.

Three Matches to Watch

PENN STATE (0-1-0, BIG TEN) VS. BOWLING GREEN (0-1-0, MAC)

Tuesday, Aug. 28 - 7 p.m. ET - Watch Live

A cross-conference contest between the Penn State Nittany Lions and Bowling Green Falcons represents an opportunity for each NCAA DI program to bounce back after tough, season-opening losses over the weekend.

Each team fields one Top College Prospects on Tuesday evening. Penn State are led by Reading United AC midfielder Aaron Molloy - the No. 1 PDL Top Prospect on the final list of the 2018 campaign. On the field for Bowling Green will be Dayton Dutch Lions forward Tate Robertson, who helped his PDL club to its first division title in team history - winning the Great Lakes Division.

WESTERN MICHIGAN (1-0-0, MAC) VS. BUTLER (0-0-1, BIG EAST)

Thursday, Aug. 30 - 5 p.m. ET - Live Stats

Another premier cross-conference contest takes place on Thursday afternoon, as the MAC's Western Michigan hosts the Big East's Butler, with both teams remaining unbeaten after the opening weekend's action.

Brazos Valley Cavalry F.C. forward Brandon Guhl helped lead Butler to a 2-2 draw against No. 4 ranked Akron over the weekend - scoring one of the Bulldogs two goals - and now hopes to provide another successful result against another top 25 opponent in the Broncos.

LIU POST (0-0-0, ECC) VS. ADELPHI (0-0-0, NE10)

Thursday, Aug. 30 - 7:30 p.m. ET - Watch Live

A high-profile Division II match features later in this week's collegiate action, as perennial ECC contenders LIU Post take on No. 13 ranked Adelphi from the NE10. Each club will take aim at starting their 2018 campaigns with a win, as an early season loss would represent a setback to both programs' high ambitions for this season.

Two Top College Prospects feature in this contest, both on the field for the LIU Post Pioneers. Forward Charlie Ledula hopes his goal-scoring form carries over from the 2018 PDL season - where he led the Long Island Rough Riders, but ultimately fell just shy of the playoffs. Joining him is midfielder and Rough Riders teammate Harry Pearse.
