Bucks' Ricci Named PDL Player of the Week

Forward scored five goals, recorded six assists in massive week

After a massive week in which he scored five goals and recorded six assists, Michigan Bucks forward Austin Ricci has been named PDL Player of the Week for Week 11.

In a pair of Bucks wins and a draw - including a 14-1 blowout of the Derby City Rovers and 5-1 take-down of the West Virginia Chaos - Ricci and company exploded offensively to 22 total goals. Ricci recorded four goals and four assists in the match against the Rovers and added one more goal and two more assists against the Chaos.

GK - Anthony Mwembia, Lansing United: Mwembia's shutout over the recently-crowned division champion Dayton Dutch Lions put the finishing touches on a fantastic inaugural season for Lansing, who qualify for their first PDL Playoffs.
D - Collin Liberty, San Francisco Glens SC: In a pair of starts last week, Liberty helped the Glens earn a shutout in their biggest result of the year, a 1-0 victory in the San Francisco Derby over SF City FC.
D - Randy Mendoza, SIMA Aguilas: In the tightly-contested Southeast Division, SIMA's two shutout wins - marshaled by Mendoza, who also picked up an assist - left them as back-to-back champions
D - Tennant McVea, Lionsbridge FC: A successful inaugural campaign for Lionsbridge FC ended in a scoreless draw away at Tobacco Road FC, where McVea went the full 90 minutes in defense.
M - Nick Moon, Lane United FC: A strong conclusion to the 2018 season saw Lane United FC claim a 4-0 win over Highlanders FC, with Moon supplying an assist on the game-winner before scoring two of his own.
M - Pablo Jimenez, Mississippi Brilla FC: Brilla FC concluded their season with two wins over Peachtree City, in which Jimenez scored twice and assisted three times in front of the home crowd.
M - Kal Okot, OKC Energy U23: The Energy U23 fell just short of the PDL Playoffs, despite doing all that they could with three wins in four days last week. Okot shined in those matches, scoring three goals, including two game-winners.
M - Gabriel Meireles, AC Connecticut: In AC Connecticut's exciting 4-3 win over the Seacoast United Phantoms, Meireles scored twice, including the game-winner, and assisted a third goal for the visitors.
F - Damian German, FC Tucson: With three strong results needed to qualify for the PDL Playoffs, German took the lead for FC Tucson with four goals, helping secure the seven points necessary to lock up the Western Conference wildcard.
F - Austin Ricci, Michigan Bucks: Though the Bucks fell just short of the PDL Playoffs, Ricci and company enjoyed a seven-point week, capped by his five goals and six assists.
F - Luke Brown, Seacoast United Phantoms: While the results weren't there for the Phantoms this week, Brown's three goals were a bright spot as the club concluded its 2018 PDL campaign.
