Top teams hold onto spots, early season favorites re-emerge

While the No. 1 teams solidify their positions atop the Conference Power Rankings this week, several early season favorites re-emerge.

Reading United AC, the Des Moines Menace, South Georgia Tormenta FC and the FC Golden State Force still reign supreme, but the Michigan Bucks, Ocean City Nor'easters and more push their way into the top five.

The story this week in the Eastern Conference, and across most of the league, are clinching scenarios for playoff spots and division titles. While the South Atlantic Division remains up for grabs, both Reading United AC and Black Rock FC can wrap up their respective Mid Atlantic and Northeast Division titles this week with the right results.

The story is much the same in the Central, as the Des Moines Menace are on the literal precipice, with a single point gained by them or dropped by Chicago FC United locking up the Heartland Division. The Dayton Dutch Lions could also wrap up the Great Lakes Division with a win and some helpful results from Lansing United and the Michigan Bucks.

In the Southern Conference, Tormenta FC will have a few chances this week to claim their first division crown by capturing the Deep South title with a win. The Southeast and Mid South Divisions are still up for grabs, but the Lakeland Tropics and SIMA Aguilas are locked in a close duel for the former.

Finally, the Western Conference has already seen two divisions clinched, with the Force taking the Southwest crown and Calgary Foothills FC capturing the Northwest title. The Mountain Division could join them, though the scenarios are complicated, as the Colorado Rapids U23 could put it out of distance from FC Tucson with certain results.
