Just ahead of the start of the 2018 MLS Player Combine, MLSSoccer.com's Armchair Analyst has released version 1.0 of its Mock SuperDraft first round.

In total, the mock has 16 of the initial 23 picks in the upcoming SuperDraft hailing from PDL clubs. Leading the way for PDL alums are Michigan Bucks and University of Michigan star Francis Atuahene, going third overall to the D.C. United on a Generation Adidas contract, along with Chicago FC United and Wisconsin star Chris Mueller going at No. 5 to Minnesota United.

Picks No. 6-10 are even more PDL-heavy, with Wake Forest and GPS Portland Phoenix and Michigan Bucks alum Ema Twumasi leading that grouping, going to Orlando City SC. He's closely followed by 2017 MAC Hermann Trophy winner Jon Bakero, with the Carolina Dynamo and Wake Forest forward going tenth overall to Real Salt Lake. The latter 13 selections have an additional 10 PDL talents coming off the board, with Tobacco Road FC and UNC forward Alan Winn as the final PDL selection of the first round, going to the Seattle Sounders at No. 22.
