At the conclusion of a thrilling 90 minutes, Louisville City were crowned USL Cup champions on Monday night, reaching the pinnacle with more than a little PDL experience on the match-day roster.
Though not a PDL alum, Cameron Lancaster's 88th minute goal proved to be the winner in a tight, closely-contested 1-0 finale to the USL postseason. The helper on that goal, however, did come from a PDL alum in the form of Devon Williams, who was just one of 13 former PDL players on the match-day 18 for Louisville City FC.
In fact, 10 of the starting 11 on Monday night for Louisville City boast PDL experience, with the lone exception being goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh. Three more alums were present on the bench for the champions, with Tim Dobrowolski, Richard Ballard, and Ilija Ilic also hailing from the PDL.
Here's a look at the title-winning line-up, with PDL alums noted as such.
