Though limited in action, the PDL Players to Watch on the field Thursday had phenomenal performances.
In NCAA DI, Stanford trounced UCLA as expected, 5-1, in Pac-12 play. All three of Stanford's men in action got on the score-sheet, as San Francisco City FC forward Foster Langsdorf led things with a goal and two assists on the night. Following closely behind was Burlingame Dragons midfielder Corey Baird with a goal and assist of his own, and Dragons forward Tomas Hilliard who contributed an assist as well.
Elsewhere in NCAA DI, Cal narrowly edged out a 1-0 win over San Diego State in the other Pac-12 match of the night. It was Dragons defender Joshua Morton who provided the assist on the lone goal, with FC Golden State Force forward Jose Carrera-Garcia also going the full 90 minutes.
In NCAA DII, Cal Baptist kept their strong season rolling by earning a 1-0 win over Dominican University. Fresno Fuego midfielder Joey Chica made his presence felt, with an assist on the lone goal in 73 minutes of action.
Corey Baird started, played 60 minutes and provided ONE GOAL and ONE ASSIST in Stanford's 5-1 win vs. UCLA.
Tomas Hilliard started, played 70 minutes and provided ONE ASSIST in Stanford's 5-1 win vs. UCLA.
Foster Langsdorf started, played 78 minutes and provided ONE GOAL and TWO ASSISTS in Stanford's 5-1 win vs. UCLA.
Joshua Morton started, played 90 minutes and provided ONE ASSIST in Cal's 1-0 win vs. San Diego State.
Jose Carrera-Garcia started and played 90 minutes in Cal's 1-0 win vs. San Diego State.
