Bruno Felipe Serbena Lapa's brilliant goal for the SIMA Aguilas against Mississippi Brilla FC has won 2017 Goal of the Premier Development League Playoffs honors.
The 20-year-old led the Aguilas to the top of the Southeast Division with five goals this year, and this stunning strike from the Wake Forest sophomore earned 41 percent of 2,174 votes to take the award home. It was a close contest, as Lapa narrowly beat out the Charlotte Eagles' Joao Costa, who earned 38 percent of the vote. Costa also finished third in the rankings, as his second appearance on the list earned a respectable seven percent of the tally.
