Tucson’s Perez Named PDL Player of the Week

TAMPA, Fla. – FC Tucson’s Moshe Perez has been voted Premier Development League Player of the Week after recording four goals and one assist in three games for the Mountain Division club during Week 11.

The Colorado Mesa University talent scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory against the BYU Cougars on July 11. He then netted two goals in a 4-1 win against the Cougars on July 12 before recording one goal and one assist against the Colorado Rapids U23 on Saturday.

GK – Jordan Farr, Portland Timbers U23: Farr recorded his fifth shutout of the 2017 campaign for the Timbers U23, making two saves against Lane United FC in the PDL Game of the Week on Sunday.
D – Mitchell Osmond, Thunder Bay Chill: Osmond scored one goal and helped the Chill record their eighth shutout of the 2017 regular season against the St. Louis Lions on July 12.
D – Tyson Griffin, Southern California Surf: Griffin netted one goal while also helping the Surf secure their sixth shutout of the campaign in a match against San Diego Zest FC on July 12.
D – Emil Thomsen, FC Boulder U23: Thomsen scored two goals in the Boulder U23’s 4-2 win against Albuquerque Sol F.C. on Thursday. He then provided an assist in the team’s 3-1 victory against Sol F.C. on Saturday.
M – Elliot Goodwin – St. Louis FC U23: The Cumberland University talent scored one goal and provided one assist in the Saint Louis U23’s 2-1 road win against the Des Moines Menace on Friday.
M – Jason Diaz – FC Cleburne: Diaz scored one goal in FC Cleburne’s 1-1 tie against Houston FC on Thursday. He then recorded one goal and one assist in the team’s 4-1 victory against Brazos Valley Cavalry F.C. on Saturday.
M – Zach Wright – Tobacco Road FC: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill talent scored the game-winning goal and also notched one assist in Tobacco Road’s 3-2 victory against the Carolina Dynamo on Thursday.
M – Nathan Watt, West Virginia Chaos: The Lees–McRae College talent scored the game-winning goal against the Cincinnati Dutch Lions on Thursday. Watt then provided an assist in the Chaos’ 5-1 win against the Dayton Dutch Lions on Sunday.
F – Brian White, New York Red Bulls U23: The Duke University standout scored two goals and provided one assist in the Red Bulls U23’s 8-2 win against FA Euro New York on July 12. He then scored two goals against Evergreen FC on Saturday to bring his total to 17 goals scored – a league-high – this PDL campaign.
F – Moses Danto, WSA Winnipeg: Danto recorded one goal and four assists in Winnipeg’s 5-2 win against the St. Louis Lions on Friday.
F – Moshe Perez – FC Tucson: Perez recorded four goals and one assist to help FC Tucson finish the 2017 PDL regular season with a 9-2-3 record, which earned the club the Mountain Division title.
