The Fresno Fuego move into first in the Western Conference Power Rankings after winning their ninth match of the 2017 Premier Development League regular season during Week 9.

The FC Golden State ForcePortland Timbers U23Calgary Foothills FC and FC Tucson all join the Fuego in this week's top five.

Western Conference Top 5:

1. Fresno Fuego

Previous: No. 2
Week 9 Results: W 4-1 vs. San Francisco City FC
2017 PDL Record: 9-2-0
Week 10 Matches: at San Diego Zest FC (2:30 p.m. PT, July 8)
Overview: The Fresno Fuego recorded an impressive victory against Southwest Division title contender San Francisco City FC on Saturday. Bruno Brumati scored one and assisted one in the win for the Fuego, who are one win away from clinching a PDL Playoffs berth.


2. Calgary Foothills FC

Previous: No. 1
Week 9 Results: None
2017 PDL Record: 7-1-2
Week 10 Matches: at Lane United FC (7:30 p.m. PT, July 6), at Portland Timbers U23 (2 p.m. PT, July 8), at Portland Timbers U23 (2 p.m. PT, July 9)
Overview: Calgary Foothills FC had Week 9 off to prepare for a three-game Week 10. Two upcoming games against the Portland Timbers U23 will likely decide the Northwest Division title winner.


3. FC Golden State Force

Previous: No. 3
Week 9 Results: W 4-2 vs. Southern California Surf
2017 PDL Record: 8-1-2
Week 10 Matches: at Southern California Seahorses (7 p.m. PT, July 8)
Overview: The FC Golden State Force continued to impress and score goals in the Southwest Division during Week 9. Mark Verso led the way with one goal and one assist in the win against the Southern California Surf. The Force are still in the fight for the Southwest Division crown, only one point behind the Fuego.


4. FC Tucson

Previous: No. 3
Week 9 Results: T 2-2 at Albuquerque Sol F.C.
2017 PDL Record: 6-2-2*
Week 10 Matches: W 2-1 vs. Albuquerque Sol F.C. (Monday, June 3)
Overview: FC Tucson was held on the road in Week 9, but the club remains in prime position to finish atop the Mountain Division. Tate Schmitt, ranked 17th on the third edition of the 2017 PDL Top Prospects list, scored one of Tucson's two road goals.


5. Portland Timbers U23

Previous: Honorable Mention
Week 9 Results: W 4-1 vs. Victoria Highlanders FC
2017 PDL Record: 6-1-4
Week 10 Matches: vs. Calgary Foothills FC (2 p.m. PT, July 8), vs. Calgary Foothills FC (2 p.m. PT, July 9)
Overview: The Timbers U23 continue to impress in the Northwest Division and are putting pressure on Foothills FC for the division title. Christo Michaelson scored two goals and provided one assist in Week 9's win against Victoria Highlanders FC. Now, the club's focus shifts as it plays Foothills FC twice in Week 10.
