K-W United stays No. 1; Menace rise after three wins

K-W United FC remains atop the field in the Central Conference Power Rankings following Week 7 action in the 2017 Premier Development League regular season.

The Michigan BucksDes Moines MenaceSt. Louis Lions and Thunder Bay Chill join the 2015 PDL champion in this week's edition of the rankings.

1. K-W United FC

Week 8 Matches: at Derby City Rovers (7:30 p.m. ET, June 19), at Cincinnati Dutch Lions (7 p.m. ET, June 21), at Dayton Dutch Lions (7 p.m. ET, June 23)
Overview: K-W United FC sits atop the Great Lakes Division after having Week 7 off. The Canadian club will be tested in Week 8, though, as it prepares to play three times in five days. K-W United has scored a Central Conference-high 20 goals through seven games this season, with Sameer Fathazada netting six of those tallies.


2. Michigan Bucks

Week 7 Results: W 1-0 at Dayton Dutch Lions, T vs. 2-2 Chicago FC United
2017 PDL Record: 5-1-1
Week 8 Matches: at Derby City Rovers (7:30 p.m. ET, June 22)
Overview: After earning a win on Wednesday, the Michigan Bucks, winners of the 2016 PDL Championship, were held at home by Heartland Division contender Chicago FC United on Sunday. Andre Landell, who scored one goal in the Bucks' tie against Chicago, leads the team this season with five goals.


3. Des Moines Menace

Week 7 Results: W 3-1 at WSA Winnipeg, W 3-0 at WSA Winnipeg, W 1-0 vs. Thunder Bay Chill
2017 PDL Record: 5-2-1
Week 8 Matches: at Chicago FC United (7 p.m. CT, June 20), vs. Chicago FC United (7 p.m. CT, June 24)
Overview: The Des Moines Menace move up in this week's rankings after recording three wins during Week 7. Devyn Jambga and Hayden Partain were a pair of the standouts for the Menace during the week, as the former scored three goals while the latter provided two assists.


4. St. Louis Lions

Previous: No. 4
Week 7 Results: T 2-2 vs. Saint Louis FC U23
2017 PDL Record: 4-2-1
Week 8 Matches: at Saint Louis FC U23 (5:30 p.m. CT, June 21), vs. Cincinnati Dutch Lions (1 p.m. CT, June 25)
Overview: The St. Louis Lions remain unbeaten at home after earning a 2-2 tie against crosstown rivals Saint Louis FC U23 on Saturday. Vadim Cojocov, who recorded one goal and one assist in the result, leads the team goals with five this year.


5. Thunder Bay Chill

Week 7 Results: T 1-1 at Chicago FC United, L 0-1 at Des Moines Menace
2017 PDL Record: 3-2-1
Week 8 Matches: vs. WSA Winnipeg (7:30 p.m. ET, June 23), vs. WSA Winnipeg (1 p.m. CT, June 24)
Overview: The Thunder Bay Chill only recorded one point from two tough road matches in Week 7, but the club still remains well within the hunt for the Heartland Division title. Through six games, the Chill have recorded three shutouts and outscored opponents 7-3.
