2017 Western Conference Power Rankings: Week 6

The FC Golden State Force are atop the Western Conference Power Rankings for a second consecutive week after earning their seventh victory of the season in Week 6 of the Premier Development League.

The Southern California SurfCalgary Foothills FCSounders FC U23 and FC Tucson join the Force in this week's edition of the rankings.

Western Conference Top 5:

1. FC Golden State Force

Previous: No. 1
Week 6 Results: W 3-2 vs. Orange County SC U23
2017 PDL Record: 7-0-1
Week 7 Matches: None
Overview: The FC Golden State Force earned their seventh win of the season in Week 6 to remain undefeated on the year. Mark Verso, who earned PDL All-Western Conference Team honors in 2016, scored two goals in the victory. In total, the club has scored 25 goals this campaign while only conceding six.


2. Calgary Foothills FC

Previous: No. 2
Week 6 Results: None
2017 PDL Record: 5-1-0
Week 7 Matches: vs. Lane United FC (8 p.m. MT, June 16), vs. Lane United FC (2 p.m. MT, June 18)
Overview: Calgary Foothills FC had the week off after recording five wins to start the season, including a road victory against the Sounders FC U23. Kyle Jones currently leads the team in goals scored with five, while Ali Musse has netted three.


3. FC Tucson

Previous: No. 4
Week 6 Results: None
2017 PDL Record: 4-2-1
Week 7 Matches: vs. San Diego Zest FC (7 p.m. MST, June 17)
Overview: FC Tucson, which had Week 6 off, currently sits atop the Mountain Division with four wins through seven games. Moshe Perez leads the team with six goals, while Daniel Krutzen has scored five this campaign. Tucson will host San Diego Zest FC in the PDL Game of the Week on Saturday.


4. Southern California Surf

Previous: N/A
Week 6 Results: W 1-0 at Southern California Seahorses, W 2-1 at Fresno Fuego
2017 PDL Record: 5-2-0
Week 7 Matches: vs. Orange County SC U23 (6 p.m. PT, June 14)
Overview: The Southern California Surf are second in the Southwest Division after securing road wins against the Southern California Seahorses and Fresno Fuego during Week 6. Adam Vargas scored both goals in the Surf's victory over the Fuego, while Esteban Reyes netted the winner against the Seahorses.


5. Sounders FC U23

Previous: No. 5
Week 6 Results: W 3-0 vs. Lane United FC
2017 PDL Record: 4-2-1
Week 7 Matches: at Portland Timbers U23 (7 p.m. PT, June 13)
Overview: After falling to Lane United FC on the road in Week 5, the Sounders FC U23 got their revenge in Week 6. The team defeated Lane United 3-0 at home to move into second place in the Northwest Division. Adam Jones scored a hat trick in the contest.
