K-W United remains No. 1; Lions, Menace enter top five

K-W United FC maintains the top spot in the Central Conference Power Rankings after recording wins against the Derby City Rovers and Cincinnati Dutch Lions in Week 6 of the Premier Development League.

Joining K-W United in the rankings are the Michigan BucksSt. Louis LionsThunder Bay ChillSaint Louis FC U23 and Des Moines Menace.

1. K-W United FC

Week 6 Results: W 3-0 vs. Derby City Rovers, W 5-2 vs. Cincinnati Dutch Lions

Week 7 Matches: None
Overview: K-W United FC still sits atop the Great Lakes Division after earning two wins in Week 6. The Canadian club scored eight goals, with Sameer Fathazada netting one in the team's 3-0 win against Derby City Rovers on Wednesday and two goals in K-W United's 5-2 victory over the Cincinnati Dutch Lions on Sunday.


2. Michigan Bucks

Week 6 Results: W 2-0 at Cincinnati Dutch Lions, W 3-0 at West Virginia Chaos
2017 PDL Record: 4-1-0
Week 7 Matches: at Dayton Dutch Lions (7 p.m. ET, June 14), vs. Chicago FC United (7:30 p.m. ET, June 18)
Overview: The Michigan Bucks recorded two convincing wins in Week 6, scoring five goals while conceding none. Goalkeeper Drew Shepherd made eight saves during the week en route to recording two shutouts. Andre Landell scored a goal in each game to bring his total to four on the season.

Week 7 Matches: at Chicago FC United (7:30 p.m. CT, June 16), at Des Moines Menace (7:30 p.m. CT, June 17)
Overview: With another win during Week 6, the Thunder Bay Chill have nine points from four games and are only three behind the St. Louis Lions with two games in hand. Adam Abdellaoui scored both goals in the win, including a clever chip from outside the box. Defensively, the Chill have posted three shutouts and have only conceded one goal on the season.


4. St. Louis Lions

Week 6 Results: W 2-0 at Saint Louis FC U23, W 3-2 vs. Chicago FC United
2017 PDL Record: 4-2-0
Week 7 Matches: vs. Saint Louis FC U23 (5 p.m. CT, June 17)
Overview: The St. Louis Lions earned a pair of important wins in Week 6, including a 2-0 road win against the Saint Louis FC U23 on Wednesday. Sam Lee and Vadim Cojocov scored the goals for the Lions in their midweek result, while Cojocov also scored in the 3-2 victory against Chicago FC United on Saturday.


5. Des Moines Menace

Week 6 Results: W 1-0 at Thunder Bay Chill, L 0-2 at Thunder Bay Chill
2017 PDL Record: 2-2-1
Week 7 Matches: at WSA Winnipeg (7 p.m. CT, June 13), at WSA Winnipeg (7 p.m. CT, June 14), vs. Thunder Bay Chill (7:30 p.m. CT, June 17)
Overview: The Des Moines Menace earned an important road win against Heartland Division contenders Thunder Bay Chill on Friday before falling in the rematch on Saturday. Hayden Partain netted the game-winner on Friday, helping the club keep pace with the rest of the of the teams in the division.
