Nashville SC U23 jump to No. 1; Red Bulls U23 take second

The Nashville SC U23 take control of the No. 1 spot in Week 4's edition of the Eastern Conference Power Rankings after earning two more wins in the South Atlantic Division.

The Tennessee-based side, which has scored an Eastern Conference-high 16 goals after four weeks of play, is joined in the top five by the New York Red Bulls U23, Seacoast United PhantomsMyrtle Beach Mutiny and Charlotte Eagles.

1. Nashville SC U23

Previous: No. 3
Week 4 Results: W 4-0 vs. Tri-Cities Otters, W 2-0 vs. SC United Bantams
2017 PDL Record: 4-0-0
Week 5 Matches: at Peachtree City MOBA (7:30 p.m. ET, June 3)
Overview: The Nashville SC U23 are one of three perfect sides remaining in the Eastern Conference, securing a 4-0-0 record to date. In Week 4, the club defeated the Tri-Cities Otters and SC United Bantams at home. Kyle McLagan scored three goals, two against the Bantams, while PDL Top Prospect Martim Galvao provided three assists in 126 minutes of play. The club has scored 16 goals this season while only conceding four.


2. New York Red Bulls U23

Week 4 Results: W 2-0 vs. Jersey Express, W 3-1 Ocean City Nor'easters
2017 PDL Record: 3-0-0
Week 5 Matches: at FA Euro New York (7:30 p.m. ET, June 3)
Overview: The New York Red Bulls U23 have started the 2017 campaign off strong, earning wins against Reading United AC and the Ocean City Nor'easters. In Week 4, the Red Bulls U23 topped Jersey Express and the Nor'easters at home. Brian White has scored a goal in every game this season, while Jose Aguinaga has scored two goals and provided one assist this year.


3. Seacoast United Phantoms

Previous: No. 5
Week 4 Results: W 3-2 at FC Boston
2017 PDL Record: 4-0-0
Week 5 Matches: vs. Westchester Flames (6 p.m. ET, June 3)
Overview: The Seacoast United Phantoms remained perfect in the Northeast Division, securing a 3-2 road win against FC Boston on Saturday. Marcos Bautista and Donnett Sackie scored their second goals of the season in the road result. Through four games, the Phantoms have scored 11 goals while only conceding four.


4. Myrtle Beach Mutiny

Week 4 Results: W 3-1 at Charlotte Eagles
2017 PDL Record: 2-0-1
Week 5 Matches: vs. Tobacco Road FC (7 p.m. ET, June 3)
Overview: The Myrtle Beach Mutiny earned one of the most impressive results across North America on Saturday, taking down the Charlotte Eagles 3-1 on the road. Tobenna Uzo, who was named to Week 3's PDL Team of the Week, scored one of the goals, while DeJuan Jones and Joao Delgado added the other two. Mutiny netminder David Garcia also played a major role in the win, making 12 saves.


5. Charlotte Eagles

Previous: No. 1
Week 4 Results: W 4-1 at Tobacco Road FC, L 1-3 vs. Myrtle Beach Mutiny
2017 PDL Record: 3-1-0
Week 5 Matches: at SC United Bantams (7 p.m. ET, June 3)
Overview: While the Charlotte Eagles suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, the club earned its third win of the season in Week 4. Kelvin Omondi scored a hat trick in the Eagles' 4-1 win against Tobacco Road FC, and Omondi then scored the only goal for the Eagles in their loss against the Mutiny. The forward currently leads the league in goals scoring with seven.
