Forward scored four goals in one match to earn honors

TAMPA, Fla. – Burlingame Dragons FC forward Matt Wiesenfarth has earned Week 3's Premier Development League Player of the Week honors after scoring four goals in his side’s 5-0 win against San Francisco City FC on Sunday.

The University of California, Davis, product scored two goals in nine appearances for Burlingame during the 2016 PDL regular season. After two games in 2017, Wiesenfarth has netted five goals, helping the club earn four points so far this season.

GK – Ben Martinez, Western Mass Pioneers: The netminder secured two shutouts in Week 3, recording two saves in the Pioneers’ 2-0 win against AC Connecticut on Friday and then making four stops in his side’s 2-0 victory against Westchester Flames.
D – Andrew Stalboerger, Southern California Surf: The California State University San Marcos team captain helped the Surf earn a shutout – a 3-0 victory – and also scored a goal against the Ventura County Fusion on Saturday.
D –  Conner Antley, Sounders FC U23: The Mercer University defender, who earned 2016 All-Southern Conference First Team honors, scored the game-winning goal against the Portland Timbers U23 while also helping the Sounders U23 record a shutout against their Northwest foes.
D –  Kevin Coiffic, FC Miami City: The defender played 180 minutes for FC Miami City in Week 3, scoring one goal in the club’s 5-1 win against Weston FC at Broward College South Campus on May 17.
M – Ignacio Tellechea, Ocean City Nor’easters: The University of California, Santa Barbara, talent – who scored 20 goals and earned National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2016 – scored two goals in his club’s 4-1 win against Evergreen FC on Friday and played 79 minutes in the Nor’easters’ 3-2 win vs. Evergreen FC on Sunday.
M – Ryan Williams, Charlotte Eagles: The John Brown University talent, who earned All-Sooner Athletic Conference First Team honors in 2016, played all 90 minutes, provided two assists and scored one goal in the Eagles’ 3-1 victory against in-state rivals Carolina Dynamo.
M – Jose Carrera-Garcia, FC Golden State Force: The University of California, Berkeley, standout – who earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors in 2016 – scored two goals and recorded one assist in the Force’s 5-0 victory against the Southern California Seahorses on Saturday.
M – Flavio Guzman, Texas United: The Midwestern State University product scored one goal and provided one assist to lead Texas United to a 4-2 victory – the club’s first PDL win – against FC Cleburne on Wednesday.
F – Tobenna Uzo, Myrtle Beach Mutiny: The Coastal Carolina University product scored two goals – the opener and winner – in the Mutiny’s 3-1 win against Tobacco Road FC on Friday.
F – Mohamed Aborig, K-W United FC: The University of Waterloo product scored a hat trick on the road against the West Virginia Chaos, leading K-W United FC to its first win of the 2017 season.
F – Matt Wiesenfarth, Burlingame Dragons FC: The forward scored the first, third, fourth and fifth goals of Burlingame’s 5-0 win against San Francisco City on Sunday, leading the club to its first win of the PDL campaign.
