While the Charlotte Eagles continued to show off their strength in the South Atlantic Division, the New York Red Bulls U23 secured an eye-opening victory against Reading United AC to jump into the top five in this week's Eastern Conference Power Rankings.
The Eagles maintain the top spot in Week 3's rankings, while the Ocean City Nor'easters and Nashville SC U23 move up. After securing two road results, the Seacoast United Phantoms also enter the top five.

Joao Costa, who was named Week 2's PDL Player of the Week, scored a goal against the Carolina Dynamo, bringing his season total to four. Kelvin Omondi also scored against the Dynamo and now has three goals in two games this year.

Ignaco Tellechea scored two goals to lead the 2016 Eastern Conference champions to a 4-1 win on Friday. After going down 2-0 on Sunday, the Nor'easters stormed back in the final minutes of the match, with Akiel Barrett scoring one goal and assisting another in the 3-2 win.

The talented forward, who earned Week 2 Team of the Week honors, recorded one goal and one assist in his side's 4-3 win against South Georgia Tormenta FC on Saturday. Blake Wilson scored his second of the PDL campaign, while Tanner Dieterich and David Ekern netted their first goals of the season.

After defeating the Western Mass Pioneers, who earned a PDL Playoffs berth in 2016, 2-0 in Week 2, the Phantoms earned two wins in Week 3. Terence Carter scored a goal in each match, as the Northeast Division side topped the Westchester Flames 4-1 on Saturday and then beat AC Connecticut 2-1 on Sunday.
