A total of six teams, including four Texas-based expansion franchises, will compete in the Premier Development League's Mid South Division in 2017.
The OKC Energy U23, who will embark on their second PDL campaign this year, return to the division as reigning champions. While Texas United, Brazos Valley Cavalry F.C., FC Cleburne and Houston FC are set to kick off their inaugural PDL campaigns, Mississippi Brilla FC will kick off its 11th campaign in the league.
Brilla FC, which has won four PDL division titles, has helped multiple players progress to the professional ranks, including Colorado Rapids defender and Uganda international Michael Azira.
