OKC Energy FC and Under Armour, Inc. revealed a partnership on Wednesday, and the first-of-its-kind agreement will see the United Soccer League club, the OKC Energy U23 franchise and the club's youth partners across the city outfitted by Under Armour.
The PDL franchise will be outfitted with footwear, apparel and equipment under the multi-year deal, the first all-encompassing youth and professional soccer apparel partnership for Under Armour in North America.
“We’re excited to join the Under Armour family and to have them provide our on-field and training gear,” said Bob Funk Jr., Energy FC o-owner. "Under Armour is an industry leader and has a solid business model built for growth. We can emulate their ingenuity and growth patterns in our business as well. An all-encompassing partnership with Under Armour to outfit our professional team, our PDL team and the youth teams is a major step for us in the direction of uniting the soccer community within the state of Oklahoma.”
The Energy U23 are preparing for their second PDL campaign after reaching the PDL Playoffs in their inaugural season. The Energy U23 clinched the Mid South Division by earning a 10-3-1 record.
