Matt Hedges, voted 2016 Major League Soccer Defender of the Year, headlines the PDL alums taken in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.

Ahead of this year's draft, the PDL will take a look back at this decade's SuperDrafts, highlighting all of the PDL alums since 2010.

In 2012, a total of 24 PDL alums were selected over the course of two rounds. The Chicago Fire U-23 had eight alumni, including Austin Berry, Ethan Finley, Tommy Meyer, Calum Mallace, Chris Estridge, Tyler Polak, Brendan King and Kenny Walker, chosen in the draft. Andrew Wenger, who played for the Carolina Dynamo, was taken No. 1 overall by the Montreal Impact.

Cyprian Hedrick (Fresno Fuego), Chris Blais (Washington Crossfire), Ray Gaddis (Reading United AC), Warren Creavalle (Carolina Dynamo), Babyele Sodade (Michigan Bucks), Ryan Meara (Jersey Express), Jacob Hustedt (Ventura County Fusion), Lucky Mkosana (Michigan Bucks), Andrew Duran (Des Moines Menace) and Kelyn Rowe (Washington Crossfire) were also among the PDL alums selected.
