Eight players who competed in the 2016 PDL regular season have earned Pac-12 Conference Preseason honors.

Burlingame Dragons FC’s Corey Baird, Nick Lima and Christian Thierjung, FC Golden State Force’s Jose Hernandez and Michael Amick, Ventura County Fusion’s Abu Danladi, San Francisco City FC’s Andrew Epstein and Portland Timbers U-23s Timmy Mueller were named to the Preseason All-Pac-12 Team on Tuesday.

Amick, Baird, Danladi and Hernandez play for UCLA, which was voted by the coaches to win the 2016 regular season title. Stanford won the 2015 College Cup – its first title in program history – and Epstein will look to lead the Cardinal to back-to-back titles. Lima and Thierjung are set to compete in their senior seasons for the University of California, Berkeley, while Mueller will lead Oregon State University.

Among the Preseason All-Pac-12 Team selections, Hernandez had one of the best PDL seasons, earning 2016 PDL All-Western Conference Team honors after scoring three goals and providing four assists in 11 games during the regular season. Hernandez also finished the 2016 PDL season ranked sixth in the PDL Top Prospects list.

All six Pac-12 men’s soccer teams begin their 2016 college campaigns on Aug. 26-28. To read more about the Pac-12 Preseason honors, visit Pac-12.com.
