While FC Tucson topped LA Laguna FC in the PDL Game of the Week on Sunday, the Fresno Fuego became the first team to clinch a division title on Saturday.

Thanks to a finish by Alvaro Nogales, the Fuego clinched the Central Pacific Division title after Burlingame Dragons FC and the BYU Cougars played to a 1-1 tie on Saturday.

Here are several Week 9 results that stood out among the rest:

Fresno Fuego 1, Southern California Seahorses 0: The Fuego extended their unbeaten run to 10 games, and clinched the Central Pacific crown at Chukchansi Park on Saturday. Nogales scored the game's only goal, blasting in a shot after Milton Blanco played a low cross into the box. The PDL's leading goalscorer, Christian Chaney, nearly scored his 14th goal of the season in the second half, but Seahorses goalkeeper Vincent Morales made a spectacular save to deny him.

FC Tucson 3, LA Laguna FC 1: University of Louisville's Tate Schmitt set the tone with a goal inside the first minute of the game, and he scored the eventual game-winner in the second half to maintain Tucson's unbeaten record. LA Laguna's Hansel Sical scored from well outside the box to level the scoreline in the first half, but Schmitt blasted in the winner in the 54th minute. Tucson's Afonso Pinheiro scored an insurance goal in the 66th minute, as both sides finished with 10 men.

Reading United AC 4, Baltimore Bohemians 0: Reading United came through when it mattered most on Saturday. With first place in the Mid Atlantic Division on the line, Paul MarieRayane BoukemiaFrantzdy Pierrot and Bradley Fountain all scored in the convincing result.

“Very solid performance all the way around," Reading United Head Coach Stephen Hogan said. "A great start where we scored straightaway off Paul Marie’s fantastic finish and we just continued on.

“We’re starting to become very professional. Before we came out today, there was a lot of focus. Less chatting and laughing, they knew they had to get a response because we lost to Red Bull the other night. We did it, we came out strong and it was a fantastic win.”
