Floridians F.C. remains on top of the Southern Conference standings after earning two wins in Week 8.

The Southeast Division leader was not the only Florida team to impress, though, as The Villages SC climbs the highest in this week’s rankings after recording wins against FC Miami City and the SW Florida Adrenaline.

Here’s the Southern Conference’s Top 6:

1. Floridians F.C. (Previous: 1)
Last Week: W 1-0 vs. IMG Academy Bradenton, W 1-0 at South Florida Surf
Gonzalo Medina scored the game-winner – his eighth goal of the regular season – against IMG Academy on Wednesday, and while he wasn’t able to score his ninth over the weekend, Jorge Piris netted against the Surf to see Floridians F.C. remain on top of the Southeast standings. With a 6-1-2 record, Floridians F.C. has a four-point above second place.

2. Midland/Odessa Sockers FC (Previous: 2)
Last Week: W 2-1 at Mississippi Brilla FC, T 1-1 at Mississippi Brilla FC
Sockers FC refuse to be beaten, improving its undefeated run to seven games. The Texas club started the week with a 2-1 win on Thursday. Despite going down a goal early, Sockers FC fought back for a result. Jade Mesias and Grant Mobley scored the goals in the victory at Traceway Park, while Nate Coons scored the late game-tying goal in the rematch on Saturday.

3. OKC Energy U23 (Previous: 4)
Last Week: W 3-1 vs. Saint Louis FC U-23
Noah Keats continued his exceptional season on Saturday, scoring two goals to lead the Energy U23 to a 3-1 win. The Energy U23 now have a 6-2-1 record and are two points behind Sockers FC with a game in hand.

4. The Villages SC (Previous: 6)
Last Week: W 5-2 at FC Miami City, W 2-1 vs. SW Florida Adrenaline
Carlos Araujo is on fire for The Villages, as he scored three goals in Week 8 to lead his side to two victories. Roberto De Lima also added a goal in each of The Villages’ games. With the results, The Villages sits in second place in the Southeast with a 5-2-1 record.

5. South Florida Surf (Previous: 3)
Last Week: T 2-2 vs. Palm Beach Suns FC, L 1-0 vs. Floridians F.C.
The Surf were only able to earn one point in two Week 8 matches. The Surf secured a result on Wednesday, as Andrew Helm and Abraham Bartoah scored in the 2-2 tie at South County Regional Stadium. The Surf are now third in the Southeast with a 4-2-4 record.

6. FC Miami City (Previous: 5)
Last Week: L 5-2 vs. The Villages SC, W 3-0 vs. IMG Academy Bradenton
After falling to The Villages during the week, Miami City topped IMG Academy at home. Miami City now sits in fourth in the Southeast with a 4-3-3 record.
