After years of success in the PDL, WSA Winnipeg striker Moses Danto has earned a trial with Major League Soccer's Sporting Kansas City.

The 21-year-old Canadian forward has been a key part of WSA Winnipeg's roster for many years, and he has earned PDL All-Central Conference honors in every season since 2013.

“When Moses joined us, we always knew he could do great things.” WSA Winnipeg Head Coach Eduardo Badescu said. “Through our club and playing in the PDL, he has been able to work on his game and showcase his skills in the States.

"Trials like this is why we started WSA. We want players in Winnipeg to be able to compete with the best and showcase themselves outside of Winnipeg.

"A player going on trial or getting a scholarship is valued greater than a win for this club. While victories on the field are also our goal, it is just as important to provide opportunity to develop players."

The 6-foot-2 forward possesses exceptional speed, is good with both feet and has the ability to shoot from long range. He is WSA Winnipeg's all-time leading goalscorer.

Danto also joins other former WSA Winnipeg players who have trained with professional teams in recent years, including Ali Musse (Vancouver Whitecaps) and Tyson Farago (FC Edmonton).
