One of the Eastern Conference’s best teams fell in Week 6, while Reading United AC earned the most impressive result to remain atop the Eastern Conference Power Rankings.

While the Carolina Dynamo suffered a 2-1 loss at home to the Southern West Virginia King’s Warriors, Reading United took down Baltimore Bohemians, who were ranked fourth in the first edition of the rankings, but have now fallen outside the top six this week.

Here’s the Eastern Conference’s Top 6:

1. Reading United AC (Previous: 1)
Last Week: W 3-2 at Baltimore Bohemians
On the road against a tough Bohemians side, Reading United remained the only unbeaten team in the Eastern Conference with a 3-2 win at Cedar Lane. Paul Marie continues to shine this regular season, scoring two goals in the victory. The Bohemians rallied to force a tie before halftime, but an own goal gave Reading United its fifth win of the campaign.

2. Charlotte Eagles (Previous: 3)
Last Week: W 2-0 vs. Southern West Virginia King’s Warriors, W 3-0 at Tri-Cities Otters
The Eagles are the first Eastern Conference side with six wins after earning two victories during Week 6. The first came at home against the King’s Warriors, and the goals were scored by Daniel Siaj and Santiago Moar. The Eagles then went on the road an claimed an impressive win against the Otters at Science Hill Stadium. Moar netted his second of the week, while Jonathan Denton and Kelvin Omondi penciled their names in on the score sheet as well.

3. Seacoast United Phantoms (Previous: 5)
Last Week: W 3-2 vs. Westchester Flames
The Phantoms continue to surprise, and continue to sit atop the Northeast Division following their win at Portsmouth High School. After falling to FC Boston in Week 5, the Phantoms bounced back with an important 3-2 result against the Flames. Trent Lougheed scored the game-winner, while Alencar Junior and Errol Reid scored the Phantoms’ goals in the first half.

4. Carolina Dynamo (Previous: 2)
Last Week: W 2-0 at Peachtree City, L 2-1 vs. King’s Warriors
The Dynamo have looked like one of the top teams across the league this regular season, but they did not perform that way on Saturday. The Dynamo conceded the opening goal to the King’s Warriors, and had a penalty kick saved before Tanner Roberts scored the game-tying goal. However, Wes Carson was able to earn the upset for the King’s Warriors with a late goal. Despite the loss, the Dyanmo still have 15 points in the South Atlantic Division.

5. GPS Portland Phoenix (Previous: 6)
Last Week: W 2-0 vs. Westchester Flames
One point behind the Phantoms, but one game in hand. The Phoenix earned another impressive result this season, taking down the Flames at Deering High School on Saturday. Skyler Milne and Guilherme Da Silva Leme were the goalscorers for the Phoenix, who secured their fourth win of the regular season. A home contest with the Phantoms on Saturday in Week 7 will surely be one to watch.

6. Western Mass Pioneers (Previous: NR)
Last Week: T 2-2 at FA Euro; W 2-1 vs. Rough Riders
Unbeaten in their last three games, the Pioneers secured their 12th point of the season against the Long Island Rough Riders on Friday. Their win came after a respectable 2-2 tie on the road against FA Euro. Now tied with the Phoenix on points in the Northeast standings, a tough Week 7, which includes road games against FC Boston and the Westchester Flames, lies ahead.
