TAMPA, Fla. – Burlingame Dragons FC forward Jamael Cox has been named the PDL Player of the Week for the first week of the 2016 regular season after he scored a pair of goals during Burlingame’s first two victories of the campaign.

Cox netted the lone goal for a 1-0 road win against the Fresno Fuego last Friday in the PDL Game of the Week, playing in front of a Fresno base of 5,237. He followed that up with a penalty kick conversion as Burlingame posted a 4-0 win against LA Laguna FC on Sunday.
