99th minute equalizer dramatically won Northeast Division en route to national title

TAMPA, Fla. - Vermont Green FC adds another accomplishment to its bountiful 2025 season as Owen O'Malley wins USL League Two Goal of the Year honor, as voted on by the fans. O'Malley's dramatic late equalizer against rivals Western Mass Pioneers secured Vermont its first division title and propelled them to complete an undefeated season by winning the 2025 USL League Two Final. "Mr. Vermont," as he has been affectionately nicknamed by the Green's supporters, O'Malley received 637 votes in the final round, beating out Laredo Heat SC's Sergio Meza who picked up 517 votes.
