TAMPA, Fla. - The United Soccer League announced today its 2025 USL League Two Team of the Year for each of the four conferences. The Western Conference had no shortage of top talent and put together a best XI to be feared across the league. Here are the top 11 in the west this year.

Roark Looney - Utah United – GK
Looney had a stellar season for Utah, providing a reliable last line of defense for an already sturdy backline. Looney kept five clean sheets for the Mountain Division champions and a 0.73 save percentage.
DEF - D'Andre Pickett - FC Tucson
Pickett played a big role in Tucson’s defense that was stingy throughout the season. Pickett finished the year with a passing completion over 83%.
DEF - Alex Fritcher - Utah United
Fritcher impressed with his defensive work all year for Utah. He helped the club keep seven clean sheets on the season, intercepting 66 passes.
DEF - Abeselom Zemenfes - Ballard FC – Conference Player of the Year
Zemenfes was a workhorse for Ballard who proved themselves once again as one of the most complete teams in League Two. Zemenfes was key to Ballard’s ability to snuff out opposition attacks and maintain a clean sheet in half their games this season and only give up more than one goal in one match. His standout play during this campaign deems him the Western Conference Player of the Year.
DEF - Andres Torres - Ventura County Fusion
Torres was a valuable piece of this season’s Fusion team that won the Southwest Division for the second year in a row. Torres was a consistent part of Ventura’s quick play, boasting a 68.9% passing completion by the end of the year.
MID - Adrian Guzman - San Francisco Glens SC
Guzman was a left-footed magician for the Glens this season with his creative play that kept their midfield sharp all season long. The Bay Area native had a 68.2% passing completion rate in the attacking third.
MID - Connor Lofy - Snohomish United
Lofy and League Two newcomers Snohomish United turned some heads this season with their ability to get results no matter the opponent. Lofy was a master of distribution, hitting 182 medium range passes.
MID - Ethan Doud - Lane United FC
Doud balled out for Lane United this season, helping them improve on their 2024 points total by 10. The midfielder had a 77% pass completion rate in 2025.
FWD - Arnold Matshazi - Almaden FC
Matshazi’s eight goals for Almaden this year showed off his clinical finishing ability. The Englishman scored three game winning goals this season.
FWD - Sean Battistessa - San Juan SC
Battistessa was the engine behind San Juan’s quick start to the season that saw them win six games before the calendar flipped to June. Battistessa finished the season with 10 goals in 10 games.
FWD - Tobi Osifodunrin - Colorado Storm
The Colorado native took the Mountain Division by storm this year, helping his club sneak into the playoffs on the final day. Osifodunrin recorded nine goals and six assists this year.
