Des Moines Menace (6-1-0) Next match: @ Springfield FC, Wed 6/18, 7:00 p.m. |
![]() Last Week: 2 |
Des Moines was ready to play Saturday night, coming out on top 3-1 over former No. 1 Peoria City. The Menace snuck into halftime with the advantage, scoring in stoppage time and then tripled their lead less than 15 minutes into the second half. One of their strengths this year is getting goal contributions from up and down the lineup – over 10 players have scored this year. This week they have two matches against teams in the bottom half of the division before a rematch in Peoria. |

Asheville City SC (6-0-0) Next match: vs. Dothan United, Sat 6/21, 7:30 p.m. |
![]() Last Week: 4 |
Asheville played over 515 minutes before conceding their first goal of the season. An impressive feat on its own, but considering they dismantled formerly unbeaten Birmingham Legion FC II 7-0, we think the rest of the Southern Conference should be on notice that this team is not to be taken lightly. Don’t forget this Vincent Kompany-esque strike from Dylan Kropp. This weekend’s matchup with Dothan United, who are only three points back, is another big one. |

![]() Last Week: 1 |
It was a tough week for Ballard FC, earning two draws against formidable opponents. They worked hard, taking over 25 shot attempts, but didn’t find the goals they needed. FC Tucson (5-1-0) Next match: @ Redland FC, Sat 6/21, 7:00 p.m. |
![]() Last Week: 5 |
This week was a mixed bag for FC Tucson, who lost in San Diego to City SC and then shook it off by dismantling Coachella 16-0. ![]() Last Week: 15 |
Fort Lauderdale was a second-half team in the last week, scoring all five of their goals in the latter 45. Carlos Zambrano provided the winner against Miami AC and a brace from Andres Morral got it done vs. Kings Hammer FC – Sun City. Tonight, they have a shot at revenge against Sarasota Paradise, who gave them their only loss of the season to date. |
9 | ![]() |
Lionsbridge FC (5-0-3) Next match: vs. Virginia Beach United, Sat 6/21, 7:00 p.m. |
![]() Last Week: 6 |
Luc Achermann was the hero, hurling in a free kick from the left side of the box to salvage a point in added time. Lionsbridge are still first in the Chesapeake Division but are feeling the heat from Nothern Virginia FC, who is tied with them on points, and this weekend’s opponent Virginia Beach United, who sits one point behind. |

![]() Last Week: 8 |
Snohomish fought hard and held their weight, earning an impressive draw against former No. 1 Ballard FC. They thought they had three points locked up last night against Bigfoot, but a massive, four-goal second half brought the visitors back in it and sent everyone home with one point. An all-logo clash awaits them when they host the Portland Bangers this weekend. |

17 | ![]() |
Dothan United (5-1-0) Next match: vs. Tennessee SC, Wed 6/18, 7:30 p.m. |
|
Dothan United look much improved this season and a 4-1 victory over Birmingham Legion FC II proved that. They are right on Asheville City SC’s tail for first place and will face off with the division leaders on Saturday but shouldn’t look too far ahead because they’re hosting a defensively strong Tennessee SC squad. |
