Sporting JAX vs. Nona FC
June 14 – 7 p.m. ET – Mandarin High School, Jacksonville, Fla.
As it gears up for entry into the USL Championship, Sporting JAX has added its brand to the club that previously competed at Florida Elite Soccer Academy in 2025, and is aiming to make a breakthrough to the postseason for the first time since FESA joined League Two in 2019.
This is the game that could make or break those plans with Nona FC having been the side that has kept Sporting at arm’s length while reaching the postseason in the past three seasons since joining the league in 2022.
With this matchup their second of the campaign, it could prove pivotal as to whether Nona’s streak continues, or if Sporting can push into the top two in the Southeast Division standings for the first time.
Rochester FC vs Minneapolis City SC
June 15 – 4 p.m. ET – RCTC Stadium, Rochester, Minn.
You’ve probably heard of Minnesota Nice, the term applied to the hardy souls from the North Star State.
Last season for Rochester FC and Minneapolis City SC was the opposite of that as the two clubs propped up the Deep North Division. Both sides will be aiming to change that this season as they each look for their first trip to the USL League Two Playoffs.
In the newly-formed Heartland Division, things could be more open for the Loons and the Crows than in seasons past. This will be an opportunity for one of them to seize, and claim superiority in their in-state feud.
Portland Bangers FC vs. Tacoma Stars
June 16 – 5 p.m. ET – Hillken Stadium, Portland, Ore.
There might be no club arriving in USL League Two this season with a more distinctive look than Portland Bangers FC.
Don’t be fooled by appearances, though. This is an organization that wants to put a successful product on the field. The group’s baseball club – the Portland Pickles – has reached the West Coast League’s playoffs each of the past three seasons and last year won the whole thing.
Hosting a Tacoma Stars side that you might associate more with indoor soccer, but that narrowly missed out on a playoff berth in its inaugural League Two season in 2024, should tell us how close the Bangers are to being a contender in the Northwest Division.
Fort Wayne FC vs. Lexington SC
June 18 – 7 p.m. ET - Bishop John D’Arcy Stadium, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Over the past two seasons, Fort Wayne FC has become the class of the Valley Division, earning consecutive division titles while suffering only two defeats.
With the club’s course set for a move to USL League One in 2026 at a new 8,400-seat venue, this is a big year for the organization as it lays the groundwork for that transition. In Lexington SC, which will enter a team USL League Two for the first time this year as a bridge between the club’s growing Academy and First Team in the USL Championship, Fort Wayne has an example to emulate.
FWFC – which counts United States Men’s National Team legend DaMarcus Beasley among its investors – could also have a challenger to its position at the top of the Valley standings. This matchup could tell us plenty on the direction of that postseason race.
Laredo Heat SC vs Lonestar
June 18 – 8 p.m. ET – PEG Energy Stadium, Laredo, Texas
The return of Laredo Heat SC to USL League Two for the first time since the 2015 season at new soccer-specific venue PEG Energy Stadium is one of the major stories for longtime followers of the league this season. Laredo was one of League Two’s top clubs over the years, winning the title in 2007 and advancing to the National Final on three additional occasions, and last year opened its new home, giving it a venue that matches its rich history.
That pedigree will be tested by a strong Lone Star Division lineup, which also includes Austin-based Lonestar SC. A newcomer to League Two in 2025, the renowned Academy program will also be aiming to challenge for the division title this season, which should make this meeting between one of the league’s historic names and newest arrivals a fascinating one.
Nona FC vs Brave SC
June 25 – 7 p.m. ET – Austin Tindall Stadium, Winter Park, Fla.
Barely anything separated Brave SC and Nona FC at the top of the Southeast Division a season ago, but Brave claimed the division title via goal differential as the clubs finished level on 29 points to both advance to the postseason.
With the standard each has set over the years – Nona having reached the playoffs in all four seasons since it joined League Two, and Brave having missed the postseason once since it arrived in 2016 – it’s likely this game will be pivotal for the destination of the division crown once again.
Redlands FC vs Ventura County Fusion
June 27 – 7 p.m. ET – Dodge Stadium, Redlands, Calif.
In its inaugural season in 2023, Redlands FC went straight to the top of the Southwest Division, edging out historic League Two power Ventura County Fusion by a point for the crown.
A season ago, however, the Fusion restored their place in the division hierarchy, sweeping past its rivals to end the season with a nine-point gap to second-placed FC Tucson as Redlands slipped down the standings to fourth.
With both clubs set to be in contention for the postseason again this year, their two meetings in the final four games of the regular season – the other coming on July 9 in Ventura County – should prove critical to their chances.
Dothan United vs Columbus United
June 28 – 7:30 p.m. ET – Rip Hewes Stadum, Dothan, Ala.
Dothan United put together a credible first season in USL League Two last year, taking third place in the South Central Division. This year, the Alabama-based club will be aiming to take the next step and earn its first postseason berth while aiming to challenge Asheville City SC, which has claimed the past two division titles.
One club that could get in the way of those plans will be Columbus United, which enters League Two this year having established itself in the Georgia pre-professional soccer scene over the past two years.
Separated by less than 100 miles across the state border, this could become a strong rivalry and serve as a key game for both clubs as they push for the playoffs.
Peoria City vs Des Moines Menace
July 2 – 7:30 p.m. ET – Shea Stadium, Peoria, Ill.
A season ago, Peoria City and the Des Moines Menace fought tooth-and-nail for top spot in the Heartland Division. The Menace finished two points ahead to claim top spot, but then saw City turn around and play their part in an epic 5-5 draw that saw Fritz Volmar score in the 120th minute to level the game before Peoria advanced 4-2 in a penalty shootout.
That was part of a thrilling underdog run to the League Two National Final for City before the side fell to the Seacoast United Phantoms, but the potential for both these clubs to make a playoff run is certain to be present once again this season. This meeting in their third-to-last outing could prove crucial in the division race.
Toledo Villa FC vs Cleveland Force SC
July 10 – 7 p.m. ET – Paul Hotmer Field, Toledo, Ohio
Toledo Villa FC and Cleveland Force have battled for playoff positions in the past two seasons.
In 2023, the Force edged out Toledo on goal differential after the sides finished level on points having split their regular season series, and a year ago Cleveland ended a point ahead in second place in the Valley Division after recording one win and two draws in their regular season encounters.
All of which to say, this meeting in the penultimate game of the season for both clubs is almost certainly going to be crucial. For one, it could easily be win or see your postseason hopes dashed.
Flatirons FC vs Colorado Storm
July 10 – 7:30 p.m. ET – Stermole Stadium, Golden, Colo.
In 2024, Flatirons FC finally reached the summit of the Mountain Division. The fifth-year club finished top of the division for the first time as it cruised into the postseason by five points, earning its first berth in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup as well.
If there’s anything we learned from the Colorado Storm’s first foray in the USL W League a season ago, however, it’s that the division newcomers could pose an immediate challenge to the reigning division title-holders. The Storm advanced to the W League Final in their first year before falling to NC Courage U23, and should be well-equipped to do similar here.
As the sides meet in the final week of the regular season, there could be a lot at stake when they face off in Golden.
Western Mass Pioneers vs Vermont Green FC
July 11 – 7:30 p.m. ET – Lusitano Stadium, Ludlow, Mass.
Vermont Green FC has become a phenomenon over its first three seasons in League Two – how many other clubs can you name that have had one of their state’s senators show up to a game? – and has reached the postseason twice in that span.
In the ultra-competitive Northeast Division, which also features reigning League Two title-holder Seacoast United Phantoms and the Western Mass Pioneers – Vermont hasn’t been able to break through and claim a division title so far.
As they head to face the Pioneers in the final game of the regular season, both clubs will be hoping top spot is within reach in what could be a battle for both a postseason berth and seeding for the Eastern Conference bracket.
Ocean City Nor’easters vs Delaware FC
July 12 – 7 p.m. ET – Carey Stadium, Ocean City, N.J.
The Ocean City Nor’easters have run the Mid Atlantic Division over the past three seasons, claiming the division title on each occasion at one of the most scenic venues in American soccer.
This year, however, they will have a new challenger to the throne in Delaware FC, which arrives in the league with the pedigree of a program that dates back to the 1980s when it was founded as Hockessin Soccer Club.
Depending on how things go for the new boys, there could be an awful lot on the line as these sides play their final game of the regular season, whether it be postseason qualification, or a potential division decider.
Des Moines Menace vs FC Ambush
July 12 – 7 p.m. ET – Valley Stadium, West Des Moines, Iowa
With the number of new clubs arriving in League Two this season, there will be an ongoing theme of the old guard – represented here by the Des Moines Menace – squaring off against the brash upstarts – represented here by league newcomer FC Ambush, which like Tacoma Stars FC has added an outdoor side to its longstanding professional indoor team.
If Tacoma is a guide, FC Ambush certainly could contend in the Great Plains Division this season. Based in St. Louis, Mo. – one of the country’s soccer hotbeds – it could also attract a strong contingent of players and support for its inaugural campaign.
How that will stack up against the Menace – who have eight division titles since 2014 and the league title in 2021 – will be the big question. When they square off in the final game of the regular season, you’d expect there will be something at stake for the hosts. We’ll wait and see for the visitors.
AMSG FC vs Ventura County Fusion
July 13 – 7 p.m. – Boswell Field, Westminster, Calif.
As the Ventura County Fusion regained top spot in the Southwest Division a season ago, and AMSG FC finished in third place, missing the postseason, the key difference was the contests the side played against one another. The Fusion swept the season series, including claiming a 3-2 victory in its penultimate game of the campaign that put it on the road to the playoffs.
This season, the two sides meet in the final game of the campaign, and there could be just as much on the line. With AMSG looking to build on what otherwise was a positive first year in League Two, they’ll be aiming to turn the tables on home turf for what could prove a pivotal result in the final standings.
