Denver, Colo. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Colorado Storm will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.
Colorado Storm was founded in 1967, serving over 80,000 players along the I-25 corridor and providing soccer to communities all over the state.
In 2024, the Storm’s USL W League team played their way into the W League Final in the club’s debut season. This year, they’re expanding into League Two to offer more competitive options to their community.
"We are excited to join USL League Two and offer our top youth and college-age players the opportunity to play at a high level throughout the summer, developing and preparing for the next step in their careers,” Danny Bills, Storm’s Chief Sporting Director, said “Aligning the paths of our girls' and boys' teams and providing competitive game options in Colorado is important for our community.”
Colorado Storm will compete in the Mountain Division in 2025.
“Colorado Storm have a long history of uplifting their communities through soccer” Joel Nash, USL SVP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties, said. “They were a great success in their first W League season, and we’re really excited to expand their presence in our pre-professional leagues.” To learn more about Colorado Storm, visit the club website, Instagram and X.
