Shreveport, La. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Red River FC will begin play in USL League Two in 2025.
The club will be making its competitive debut in 2025. It was born from a church soccer camp in the Bossier City and Shreveport area. The three founding families of the club envisioned a team that would not only compete on the field but also serve as a unifying force in the region.
“We are excited to partner our new club with USL League Two and have this level of competitive soccer in Shreveport and Bossier City,” said Ryan Wheeler, Red River FC’s president. “We can't wait to see both cities embrace the players and the game as we develop a fan base that continues to grow and support local soccer development!”
Red River FC will compete in the Mid-South Division in 2025.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome such a passionate group to our league,” Joel Nash, Senior VP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties, said. “Shreveport and Bossier City have a great soccer community, and we’re happy to welcome a club that prioritizes that community.”
