Granger, Ind. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that Northern Indiana FC will join USL League Two in 2025.
The club was formed in 2023, playing in regional competitions, including against League Two’s Fort Wayne FC.
Their mission is to be a community-based club committed to providing the best pathway to professional soccer in the Northern Indiana region. NIFC aims to provide the best resources to help develop a community where fans, coaches and players alike can thrive. NIFC’s model includes a unique partnership with local youth soccer organizations that includes a homegrown opportunity for local players.
We, at Northern Indiana FC, are excited to join USL League Two in 2025,” Ryan Wertz, club board member, said. “Our community partners, local businesses, and youth soccer community have embraced NIFC. We truly are a club by the community, and for the community. USL League Two has proven to be a fantastic pathway to the professional level, and we commit to continue the growth of the beautiful game in our Northern Indiana Region. Our team will feature many of the futures stars of our sport and we look forward to competing in USL League Two.”
Northern Indiana FC will compete in the Great Lakes Division in 2025.
