Mendon, Mass. & Tampa, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today that New England Fútbol Club (NEFC) will join USL League Two beginning in the 2025 season.
The club was formed in 2009, developing a robust youth soccer setup that spans across New England. The club’s impressiveness isn’t only in its size, but also in its achievements – NEFC has secured 10 national titles across multiple youth and pre-professional leagues and tournaments.
Their mission in League Two is to provide an elite soccer environment for players in the club by providing training, education and competition.
“NEFC is thrilled to announce the launch of our USL League 2 Boys program for the summer of 2025.” Christian F. Battaglia, NEFC Director of Coaching, said. “Our mission is to elevate players to the next level, and this expansion of our program reflects that core value. The USL League Two program is an integral part of NEFC's elite development pathway, reinforcing our commitment to creating a premier environment for growth at every level. We are proud to continue promoting from within and supporting players in their pursuit of collegiate and professional opportunities.”
NEFC will compete in the Northeast Division in 2025 and play their home matches in Worcester.
“New England Fútbol Club is an example setter in the Northeast,” said Joel Nash, SVP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties. “The club develops thousands of youth players each year, and we’re excited that League Two will give some of those players an opportunity to showcase themselves in an elite competition as they pursue professional careers.”
