Ahead of the postseason, learn about the players that closed the year strong!

In this final regular season edition of Top Performers presented by Soccer Syndicate, the scouting network and the USL Sporting Department identified seven more players who showed off their skills to the highest level at the end of the season.

One more Top Performers list will be released during the postseason, for the best players in the playoffs!

Gaku Nishimura - LB - Fort Wayne FC

Standing at 5’9, Nishimura is a gifted player who can shoot from just about anywhere on the field and excels in short passing areas. The former San José State University midfielder was named to the All-WAC Freshman Team and is transferring to UC Berkeley in the fall. With further development, Nishimura will be a solid piece for Fort Wayne.

Agustin Resch - CB - Ocean City Nor'Easters

Resch has been making a name for himself in Ocean City. He is currently leading the team in goals (6) and holds the team record for most goals by a defender. The tall, swift centerback has a unique skillset with control of the ball and precise passing, as well as the ability to shoot accurate headers.

Rowan Schnebly - GK - United PDX

The 6’1 Stanford goalkeeper has great range in the net, with the ability to stop close-proximity shots. In his first season at Stanford, he collected seven clean sheets, started each of his 15 appearances, and helped guide the team to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament.

Jack Stainrod - F - SC United Bantams

The 6’2 sophomore is a strong and assertive forward, who is primarily left-footed but is ambidextrous. Stainrod attends Dalton State University, where he was named to the SSAC All-Freshman Team and has tallied 15 starts, 13 goals, and 1,196 minutes through 20 matches.

Simon Carlson - AMF - Asheville City SC

Carlson is a smart attacking midfielder who understands how to fill and attack the space in the final third to unlock opposing defenses. He has good technical abilities and is proficient on the ball with both feet. His skill and agility allow him to beat opponents and be decisive, giving him an extra step in his acceleration.

Eryk Dymora – GK – Long Island Rough Riders

Dymora is an athletic and physical goalkeeper. He stays engaged with the development of the game and is present when called on to cut out a ball played into the channel. His good distribution and smart decision making – qualities of a modern goalkeeper – allow his team to regain their shape and build from the back. He's a keeper that can be trusted with the 50/50 decisions - to stay or go, dive or stand tall, Dymora is someone that has the tactical knowledge to succeed in the position in the modern age.

Henrique Gallina – RCB – Brave SC

Gallina is a defender known for his physical prowess paired with the ability to play from the back. He is comfortable in possession and his ideal position is that on the right of a three-man defense. He also brings to the field versatility and the understanding of other roles, having played fullback in the past. Whether as a central or right sided defender, Gallina's range of passing, one-on-one skills and athletic advantages give him the tools to succeed in either scenario.
