Southeast Michigan club to begin its first competitive season

MACOMB, Mich. – Today, USL announced that Union FC Macomb is set to make its debut in USL League Two in 2024.

Union FC Macomb is embarking on its inaugural season, driven by a mission to provide a premier soccer program for young players aspiring to reach professional and national team levels. At the core of the club’s philosophy is the belief that soccer transcends sport, creating experiences and connections that are vital to building, contributing to, and strengthening communities. .

“We are excited to join USL League Two with the aim of inspiring and cultivating the beautiful game in Macomb County, the Detroit Metro area, and Michigan. Our vision is to establish an environment of the highest sporting standards, providing a platform for young players to pursue their soccer aspirations,” Gronthik Chatterjee, President of Union FC Macomb, shared. “League Two offers the ideal setting for us to achieve this ambition, being a respected regional and national league with proven player development pathways.”
