SEATTLE, Wash. - Today the USL announced that West Seattle Junction FC will begin play in USL League Two in 2024. The Washington-based club will be starting its first season of competitive soccer.

After the success of USL League Two soccer in the Pacific Northwest, community members in West Seattle saw an opportunity to continue to grow the game in a soccer-heavy city.

“As a long-term resident of West Seattle, I’m genuinely overwhelmed with joy to be part of a great team of people who are working tirelessly to bring USL League Two to our community,” Jessica Pierce, club co-founder, said. “Together, we are building a deep fan base that will undoubtedly make our first match an unforgettable experience.”

The club’s mission is to foster community more than anything else – A place for players and coaches to grow while showcasing local pride for West Seattle.

The club is partnering with local nonprofit Lifelong, an organization dedicated to serving the food needs of those in Seattle that struggle to care for themselves.

“This sport is about community, and that’s something that excites me so much about West Seattle Junction FC,” Joel Nash, USL SVP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties, said. “This game can give people a chance to show pride for their home, and we know that everyone at Junction is going to build something that West Seattle can be proud of.”

The club’s first tryouts are held Wednesday, with a community event set for Friday to introduce the club’s first head coach.
