Ottawa-based tech start-up becomes Official Digital Couponing Platform across multiple platforms

TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today a new partnership with Ottawa-based tech startup, FanSaves, a digital couponing platform that gives fans access to discounts and deals from team’s sponsors. FanSaves will serve as the Official Digital Couponing Platform of the USL and will help teams in multiple leagues highlight local businesses and connect their fans to exclusive offers.

The first year of the partnership will give teams in USL League One, League Two, the W League, the Super Y League and USL Academy a chance to partner with the Digital Coupon Book platform. The initiative is aimed to increase sponsorship revenue while engaging and activating fans with club sponsors.

“Partnering with the USL is an incredible opportunity and one that we hope can expand the digital landscape for the league,” said Shannon Ferguson, FanSaves Co-Founder & CEO. “The USL is extremely innovative and being a preferred partner will open so many doors for both of our organizations.”

Fans of teams across the USL that partner with FanSaves will be able to access discounts and deals from local sponsors, with Season Ticket Members gaining access to premium level offers. The platform is free to use and can be accessed at www.fansaves.com or on the mobile app.

“We are delighted to have partnered with FanSaves,” said Josh Keller, USL Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Partnerships. “Clubs across the USL are always looking for new ways to connect with their fans and provide opportunity for their local partners. FanSaves’ streamlined process will be a tremendous asset in achieving those two goals.”

FanSaves is rapidly expanding across North America, currently working with nearly 70 teams and organizations across 19 professional leagues and featuring thousands of deals from over 900 brands and businesses. The Canadian based sports tech startup is making a major impression on the way fans engage with team sponsors.
