LAKELAND, FL– USL announced Tuesday that Swan City SC will join the USL W League, USL League Two, and USL Academy in the 2023 season.

Swan City SC is the largest competitive youth soccer club in Polk County, serving over 2,500 families in the greater Lakeland area. As part of their vision to be the premier youth soccer club in central Florida, this announcement creates a strong player pathway from youth to professional for the Polk County community.

“We are proud and excited to be joining the USL. I have seen the growth and development that occurs when players expose themselves to the USL II and USL W training and matchday environments,” said Eoghan Conlon, Club Director. “The level of accountability for players maximizes their potential fulfillment opportunities. This is a significant milestone for our organization and one that promises a thrilling future.”

"It's so encouraging to see belief in our pre-professional leagues throughout Florida", USL VP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties, Joel Nash, said. "We're excited to welcome Swan City SC into our league, and we know they're going to do great things for the Lakeland community."

Swan City SC is a community steeped in the tradition of supporting its youth and their development on and off the field. They are committed to the legacy of producing talent at the youth, collegiate, and now, pre-professional levels. More importantly, Swan City SC inspires a life-long passion for the game.
