Three-year-old club to compete in Southeast Division

MELBOURNE, Fla. - Today the USL announced that Brevard SC will be the latest club to join USL League Two.

“We adopted the phrase ‘Beyond Futbol’ to express that our passion for this sport is out of this world,” Brevard SC President Wudson Fenelon said. “The commitment and love for the sport is deeply rooted in this club.”

The club’s mission is to provide players within the Brevard County community a home to develop and compete on a national stage. Their hope is to source local talent and put them on the Path 2 Pro, to further their professional soccer careers.

“It’s so exciting to have Brevard SC joining League Two for the coming season,” USL VP of Youth and Pre-Professional Properties, Joel Nash, said. “We have a really robust League Two presence in Florida, and Brevard is going to fit right in. I can’t wait.”

Brevard has existed as Brevard Fire for three years, competing in other national adult leagues, moving multiple players into the professional ranks. Jimmy Mwanga joined Olympias Lympion in Cyprus from Brevard in July, and Cedrick Fenelon joined Finnish side PS Kemi Kings after spending time with the club.

Brevard SC will compete in USL League Two’s Southeast Division in the 2023 season, along with the expansion club based in Sarasota, announced earlier this year.
