TAMPA, Fla. - Blackwatch Rush midfielder Joseph DiPreta has been named the 2022 League Two Young Player of the Year.
From a central midfield position, DiPreta was a regular for Rush, playing in 13 matches for the squad. The 18-year-old played all 90 minutes in the last five matches for his club, notching a goal and two assists in that time, including the first assist in a win over Black Rock FC.
He also added a goal for a club that generally struggled to score. He was one of the club's key players down the stretch of the season.
The youngster plays college soccer for SUNY New Paltz, in New York, and is primed for another excellent season.
This award was based on votes from fans, League Two coaches and USL League Two staff.
