Alexandria, KY (May 22, 2022) - The first Sunday afternoon match for the Kings Hammer FC women takes place on May 22 at 3:00pm. A familiar opponent in the youth ranks, Midwest United FC from Grand Rapids, Michigan comes to the MAC. In this early matchup, KHFC are looking for their first win and MUFC are looking to notch a second straight victory.

While the season has not started as planned for KHFC, the two 1-3 scorelines that have been played out is not completely indicative of the matches themselves. In both matches, KHFC had it 1-2 but just give up a late goal to extend the deficits. The matchup against Midwest United could be what KHFC needs as the home team will have a fresh and full roster ready to play.

Not much is known about the Midwest United FC women outside of their big season opening win against Kalamazoo FC, 5-2. Not only was it Midwest United's first win, it was Kalamazoo's first loss. It could be a crucial result as Kalamazoo sits 2nd in the table and Midwest sits 3rd, at the moment.

Midwest United FC - A club with a strong tradition and history in amateur women's soccer, MUFC have already started the W League season off with a statement season opening win 5-2 over Kalamazoo FC.
