Ohio-based club to compete in League Two’s Valley Division

TAMPA, Fla. & CLEVELAND, Ohio - The United Soccer League (USL) today announced Cleveland Force Soccer Club as the latest club to join USL League Two. The Ohio-based club will compete in League Two’s newly formed, Valley Division starting in the 2022 season.

"Cleveland Force Soccer Club is excited to join the USL League Two platform. I am personally excited for the opportunity our most committed players will have to play in front of family, friends, and the club's youth throughout the summer, which will help with our long-term goals of developing players for college and professional soccer,” said Academy Director and DOC, Everett Palache. “USL League Two will serve as a capstone program where youth players can model and showcase our senior players for opportunities after college while providing a family-friendly entertainment option for the soccer enthusiasts of Cleveland, Ohio. Thank you to everyone who helps make this possible, from our grassroots to Elite High School programs."

Founded in 2011, Cleveland Force Soccer Club has striven for excellence for their programs and members. Their mission is and has been to provide soccer players a club structure, focused on empowering hardworking, responsible and humble boys and girls, who approach goals with a positive outlook, both on and off the field.

In joining League Two, Cleveland Soccer Club will offer a tried and tested pathway to professional soccer for its players, both those at the elite collegiate level and the top academy-age players in the Greater Ohio Valley area. On top of the valuable experience of playing in the nation’s most competitive pre-professional environment, League Two also provides growth opportunities for its coaches, executives, and communities.

“Cleveland Force brings a proven history of player development and we’re confident that adding League Two as a senior team will be the next step in showcasing the talent-rich Cleveland market,” said USL Vice President of Pre-Professional and Youth Properties, Joel Nash. “We’re also excited that soccer fans in Cleveland will be able to see young stars compete on their road to their ultimate goal of becoming a professional.”
