Amanda Powers earns the honor from Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Amanda Powers has made a significant impact with FC Tucson and the greater Tucson community in her short time as club president.

Powers was recognized for her efforts as she was named to Tucson's 40 under 40 class of 2021.

Powers was named club president in January of 2020, just the second woman to be a president of a men's professional soccer team in the United States.

Under her leadership, FC Tucson reached the playoffs for the first time as a pro team in 2021. She has also worked to connect the club to the community, creating initiatives such as the COX Community corner. She has helped create meaningful and positive changes in Tucson through her work with the club.

The Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Snell & Wilmer, the Arizona Daily Star, and the Selection Committee select 40 people each year who are stewards of family, of community, of values, and of purpose. They are leaders who sustain and inspire hopes for a bigger, brighter and bolder future in their professional and personal lives.
